Nicky Nash
Director of Charitable Programs and Events
Nicky earned a MA Honors in Celtic Civilization in her native country of Scotland. Her volunteer and non profit experience is varied, from teaching English to under privileged kids in Romania – to fundraising for African children and visiting schools in Africa - to organizing fundraising events for the Scottish branch of Children First.
After graduating from the University, Nicky worked as a Sales Manager with Nashville’s Southwestern Company, recruiting and training students to work in Washington and Oregon. After three years with Southwestern, Nicky worked with the Scottish Government on a program to tackle family homelessness.
In March of 2006, Nicky moved to Nashville with her husband Ed, and was introduced to the mission of Safe Haven Family Shelter.
Nicky joined the Safe Haven team as it peaked her interest in combating family homelessness and gave her the opportunity to make a positive impact on the Nashville community. In her spare time Nicky enjoys walks with Ed and Luka, yoga, reading and listening to all types of music.
