Visits Safe Haven Family Shelter
On March 27th Brandon Jones visited Safe Haven as part of Books from Birth of Middle Tennessee's Imagination Library's 3rd birthday. Jones visited with the children and their parents and read the books Coyote Raid at the Cactus Canyon and Firefighters to the Rescue! from the Imagination Library. After reading to the children Jones helped them open gifts of Imagination Library books followed by birthday cake. The National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
Safe Haven's Newest Guardian Angel
 Safe Haven is excited to welcome the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) as a Guardian Angel. The organization presented Safe Haven with a check for $3,571 which will help a family successfully complete the program which includes services such as parenting classes, financial planning, turoring, life-skills training, and group and individual counseling. "As nurses specializing in children's health, we are all too aware of the importance of a safe and stable home," said NAPNAP President Carolyn Jaramillo de Montoya. "By helping homeless families succeed, NAPNAP is contributing to their children's health and futures. And that's what our members do every day." Safe Haven Partners with the MuzikMafia
 Safe Haven is excited to announce a new partnership with MuzikMafia. Supporters and fans of the MuzikMafia have the opportunity to learn more about the homeless families at Safe Haven by going to the Community Service link on the MuzikMafia's webpage. They are dedicated to turning their success into hope for those in the community that are less fortunate. "Love Everybody," is a song composed by the members of the group. The MuzikMafia states, "It is one thing to say, 'Love Everybody.' It is another thing to actually do it. Our community involvement is about walking the walk." The 2nd Annual Danielle Peck & Friends Benefit Concert
Raises Awareness & Funds for Safe Haven
 On Monday, March 24th, Safe Haven held the 2nd Annual, “An Evening with Danielle Peck & Friends” Benefit Concert at Mercy Lounge. The lineup included spectacular performances by Danielle Peck, Keith Anderson, Eric Church, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, James Otto, Jedd Hughes, Sarah Buxton, Cory Batten & Diana DeGarmo. Brad Schmitt of WKRN News 2 was on hand to emcee the event, which garnered over $15,000 in support of homeless families. To view pictures from the event, visit www.danharronline.com. The Turnip Truck Raises $1,000
The Turnip Truck Natural Market, Nashville's premier locally owned, full-service natural foods market and its' customers raised $1,000 for the families of Safe Haven. The Turnip Truck donated $5 for every turkey sold from Thanksgiving through Christmas. The Turnip Truck will continue to raise money through 2008 with the goal of becoming a Safe Haven Guardian Angel. Please check back often for future fundraisers. Safe Haven Family Shelter Shines with Diamonds
Diamond Gusset Pairs up with Safe Haven
 Diamonds are shining at Safe Haven . . . Diamond Gusset Jeans, www.gusset.com, proudly manufactured in America, is serving as the headlining sponsor of Safe Haven's Dollars for Denim Campaign, set to take off in February. The goal of Dollars for Denim is to encourage area businesses to allow their employees to wear jeans on selective Fridays, in support of Safe Haven. Participants will make a donation in order to wear jeans on their Dollars for Denim day and will additionally be entered in a drawing to win a pair of Diamond Gusset Jeans. Read more>
Country Artists Come Together to Form Council at Safe Haven

Country artists have teamed up with Safe Haven to raise awareness for homeless families in Middle Tennessee. Safe Haven Spokesperson Danielle Peck is leading the effort by chairing Safe Haven's Celebrity Council. Country legend, and long-time avid supporter of Safe Haven, Martina McBride, as well as Keith Anderson have joined Peck to help raise awareness about Safe Haven's work. Other artists, including Emily West, Carter's Cord, Deana Carter and The Warren Brothers have stepped forward to be an active voice in preventing family homelessness.
