Become A Guardian Angel Member

Any group or individual that invests in the success of one of our homeless families. Safe Haven estimates that approximately 400 men, women and children will be successfully returned to mainstream living in 2009.

Guardian Angel support will ensure:

• A warm bed and meals for all families and their children.
• Children are enrolled in public schools within 2-4 days.
• Parents are employed within approximately 1 week.
• All families enrolled in the Mended Hearts Program receive the following: job readiness, budgeting courses, individual/ group counseling sessions for parents and children, goal monitoring, program guidance, and enrichment through the Arts and Special Activites sector.
• Families are back in homes of their own with a financial safety net in 60 to 90 days.
• How do you become a Guardian Angel?

You can become a Guardian Angel by underwriting the cost of a family to achieve success in The Mended Hearts Program .  Based on a family of 4, the cost of successfully completing our program is $2,925.  That is just $65 per day.

This program is ideal for groups that have multiple individuals such as Sunday School classes, businesses, civic clubs etc.  A group of 30 can become a Guardian Angel for just $97.50 per person; groups of 50 would just be $58.50 per person.

Will organizations receive recognition?

Yes.  All Guardian Angels will be posted on an engraved plaque at our main shelter location.  They will also be listed on our website, newsletter, e-newsletter, special events and a year-end press release.  Guardian Angels will also receive a beautiful crystalline award that will be ideal for display.
