Be a Safe Haven Guardian Angel

Any group or individual that invests in the success of one of our homeless families. Safe Haven estimates that 100-110 families, consisting of approximately 400 men, women and children will be successfully returned to mainstream living in 2008.

Guardian Angel support will ensure:

• A warm bed and meals for all families and their children.
• Children are enrolled in public schools within 2-4 days.
• Parents are employed within approximately 1 week.
• Programs are comprehensive and family specific. Parenting classes, financial planning, tutoring, life-skills training, group and individual counseling are just a few of the services provided by Safe Haven.
• Families are back in homes of their own with emergency savings funds in approximately 45 days.
• Safe Haven has an 84% success rate, which is one of the highest homeless social service success rates for comparable programs in the nation.

How do you become a Guardian Angel?

You can become a Guardian Angel by underwriting the cost of a family becoming successful from the beginning of their program until it is finished. Based on program averages, the cost of successfully completing our program is $2,925.  That is just $65 per day.

This program is ideal for groups that have multiple individuals such as Sunday School classes, businesses, civic clubs etc.  A group of 30 can become a Guardian Angel for just $97.50 per person; groups of 50 would just be $58.50 per person.

Will organizations receive recognition?

Yes.  All Guardian Angels will be posted on an engraved plaque at our main shelter location.  They will also be listed on our website, newsletter, e-newsletter, special events and a year-end press release.  Guardian Angels will also receive a beautiful crystalline award that will be ideal for display.
