Performing Artists Helping Homeless Families
By Providing Community Awareness
About Safe Haven’s Celebrity Council
The Safe Haven Celebrity Council was created in the summer of 2007 with the help of country sensation, Danielle Peck and Safe Haven staff. Danielle was amazed at lack of support and recognition of homeless families and became an avid volunteer in September of 2006. Soon after she became Safe Haven’s Celebrity Spokesperson.
Danielle hosted a benefit concert in February of 2007 to help raise funds and promote awareness. The benefit was immediately sold-out and was a tremendous success.
Nevertheless, realizing that there was still a serious need to promote Safe Haven and the plight of Homeless families, Danielle worked with Safe Haven staff to create a celebrity council. The council is designed to maximize community awareness and demonstrate the true compassion of performing artists.
Danielle gladly agreed to Chair the Council. Country legend Martina McBride, a long-time avid supporter, was the first to accept a seat on the council. Keith Anderson, the XXL country heartthrob, soon followed.
The rest is history. Keep checking the celebrity council’s growing list of support. We look forward to a long and prosperous future for our homeless families and children.
