Jim Shulman
Board President
Jim Shulman has spent the better part of the last eighteen years working in various capacities for the State of Tennessee. He currently serves as the Deputy Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Health. Shulman started in State Government as the General Counsel for the Department of Fincance. At the conclusion of Ned McWherter's term in office, Shulman went to work for the Speaker of the House Jimmy Naifeh where he served as the Speaker's Chief of Staff for six years.

David A. Roberson
Board Vice President
Currently, Dave is the Vice President, Environmental Services Brand Management, Sodexho Health Care Services. Prior to current responsibilities at Sodexho, Dave held the position of National Practice Leader, Environmental Services, Quorum Health Resources, LLC. David received his B.S. in Industrial and Administrative Management from the University of Tennessee, his M.S. in Health Services Administration from the College of St. Frances and his J.D. from the Atlanta Law School.

Mayra Zimmer
Board Secretary
Mayra is the Director of Multicultural Marketing for American General Life and Accident Insurance Company in Brentwood. She develops/provides marketing initiatives directed at Emerging Markets for the company’s nationwide offices. This includes recruiting, advertising. special events and consumer-focused collateral in-language. She is a member of AIG American General’s Diversity Council and a member of CABLE in Nashville. Michael Grooms
Board Treasurer
Michael, a graduate of MTSU, is currently the Manager of Financial Reporting for LifePoint Hospitals. Prior to joining LifePoint, Michael served as Controller for MAPCO Express. He was instrumental in creating the Dollars for Dignity Program, and has worked diligently to help raise more community awareness about the organization. In addition to Safe Haven activities, Michael, a CPA, is a member of the AICPA and TSCPA and is involved with the Nashville Junior Achievement Chapter, where he serves as a classroom instructor, teaching business skills to elementary school students.
