Recently, a family homeless shelter in Pasadena, California, was featured on Public Radio. Although the cities are different, our missions are very similar. Volunteer Anna Sternheimer Receives Local Heroes Award from Bank of America
Anna Sternheimer, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday, received the Local Heroes award recognizing her efforts in volunteerism and support for Safe Haven. Local Heroes also receive the chance to give $5,000 to their designated charity, and Anna designated her gift in support of the Mended Hearts Program. Congratulations Anna!
5th Annual Hike for the Homeless Event A Success Despite Rain
Safe Haven is pleased to announce that the 5th Annual Hike and 2nd Annual Hike Preview Party garnered nearly $50,000 in funds to support homeless families.
